The extensive breeding of our Iberian pigs, in complete freedom in our pastures, allows them to optimally develop all their physical capacities. - They follow their natural vital rhythms, sleeping, eating, resting and running around when they want and following their nature without any impediment.

100% natural: pure cereal and peas

Our animals are not fed with fodder during the months of rearing before the "montanera". - They feed themselves on what our farms produce naturally, and their diet is supplemented with high protein wheat, pure cereals of the highest quality, and dried peas. Wheat and peas provide the pigs with everything they need for proper nutrition.

In Dehesa Monteros, each specimen consumes more than 1,400 kg. of feed during its life, but the exercise forced by the terrain reduces its slaughter weight to 15 arrobas, 3 less than the maximum indicated by the quality standard. As a result, we obtain a product with less fat cover and more intramuscular infiltration, which gives it a quality and juiciness of the highest level.
