Blond pigs, an autochthonous species

We are going to introduce you to this character, it is the Ronda blond pig, a native species of the Sierra de Ronda in Malaga, which has been recovering for a few years and today has caught our attention. Juan Carlos Gonzalez has been saying for days that we need to do a report on this native species, so today he has not thought about it and very early he has gone there.

Ten years ago there were only four golden blond pigs left, a native breed of the Serranía de Ronda that almost became extinct, but Chelo and the La Algaba farm have recovered it and now have more than 100. 11 years ago they had 50 pigs and now 1,000.
- This is hope, this one has given birth this morning to 10 piglets, beautiful. To me, as my grandchildren say, «Aba, on your cell phone there are only us and you piglets» (laughs), so for me, my golden blond piglets are something, huh? They are the ones that I have all my hope right now that the Genealogical Book will be opened. I took early retirement, because I had to take care of my husband, my husband died, I had no university, no husband and my children were independent, I am not a woman who stays at home and I said I have to start something new, I have to create something new and then I thought ....
