The company from the Genal Valley boasts Iberian products at the International Food and Beverage Exhibition in Barcelona.

The Iberian products company of Consuelo Gámez Amián and her children, Ignacio, Pepe and Chelo, The Dehesa of the Monteross, in the Genal Valley, has sold out its entire production. However, it has gone to Alimentaria in Barcelona to show the high quality of its products and its new line of natural pork loin without paprika and gluten-free chorizo and salami, “as they were made in the slaughterhouses,” says its commercial director, José Simón Gámez.

The products are also handmade. The company produces an average of 1,200 hams and 1,200 shoulders per year, in addition to loins, salami and sausages.

Its most recent bet is to elaborate the old loin, without paprika, and the sausage and chorizo without gluten or lactose. It also produces sausages and loins or cured pork loin.

Half of its customers in the domestic market, who account for 80% of its sales, are private individuals and “95% are repeat customers,” boasts Simón.

Only 20 percent is destined for the foreign market, mainly France and Switzerland, although the Dehesa of the Monteros has taken advantage of Alimentaria to make numerous contacts that could lead to new sales agreements both inside and outside Spain.
